Q5. Why did God Punish Some People yet Allow Others to Get Away Scot-Free?

Ok, having explained yesterday about "Connecting the Dots via the Scarlet Thread", let us now discuss one of, if not *the* most common question every Christian would have asked at some stage of our journey, and that is "why did God punish some people yet allow others to get away scot-free?" or some variation of that question.

Here are just some examples listing down those who appear to have gotten away relatively scot-free, and those who were punished or appear to have been unfairly treated:
